WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I felt that this was monumental enough to break my hiatus.

First time since 2004 that the Sharks made the Western Conference Finals. Second time in franchise history.

Best of all? It was over Detroit. In FIVE games.

    Maybe it’s just me, but because of their past playoff woes, San Jose has felt like the underdog to me. Everyone expects them to choke. Everyone expects Jumbo Joe to suck (which he surely did for a while). Everyone expected it after the infamous “own goal” in Round One. And then going up against a Detroit team that had fought so hard and clawed their way to and through the playoffs? Eesh. Daunting. I wouldn’t typically root for Sharks, but like Montreal, you can’t help but cheer the underdog.
