It would especially benefit the West Coast teams and all the flying they have to do. Then again, the NHL is the league that only lets you see some of the biggest drawing teams once every three years. Such is life on the West Coast. Also, in February, I think, we have a seven game road trip??? Seems excessive. In the end, doesn't matter.
